Can't change "Start of week" preference

In Europe (and perhaps the rest of the world…), the week starts with Monday. I tried several times to change the setting (it ought to be default for my timezone but whatever), and it doesn’t seem to persist. I get a “Saved” notification, but when I reload the page, the old “Sunday” setting is back again.
