Text Areas: Enable text formatting

I would like to be able to add format in the the long textual areas:
- the poll description, at the top of the poll page,
- the comments, at the bottom of the poll page.

The formatting could be handled with a markdown / slack syntax: with stars and underscores for bold / italic emphases, sharp for titles / structure, hyphens for unnumbered lists, numbers for numbered lists, etc ...
