Registrations

A registration page looks similar to a meeting poll but the goal is to allow participants to book a slot from a list of available options. A host can limit how many participants can book the same slot.

This would be a terrific option for when I schedule my bosses meetings with advisees on registration day. We hold one day from 12-5pm and let the students choose a 30 minute slot on a first come basis. That is, only one person can book the slot. Having Rally handle this would be amazing. This could be handled with a poll but would require additional explanation in the email and or poll description detailing the first come basis nature.

This would be super well received by my scheduling colleagues here at MIT :) If it ever comes to fruition, I would love to demo it for them and use registration day as an example scenario... can picture it now :)

It would be great to understand the use case for this. My concern is that this will be used to change the behavior of a meeting poll to act like a booking page. A booking page is a page where participants can book an appointment from a list of time slots rather than voting for the best date to schedule an event. It would be better to create a dedicated solution for this problem rather than trying to make it work in the context of a meeting poll.

The feature could indeed be used for bookings. I've a current Rallly that I use for students to book a server, and the number of slots per student is limited and access to the server should be exclusive. In this sense, a poll does not differ that much from a booking page with some set limits. I don't like the solutions for bookings, as they want integration in some calendar, whereas I don't need to be involved (they book a server). I guess the author of this request may have similar needs.

We use RALLLY to book in a golf tournament. Each week we have room for 16 or 20 players. Today there is no possibility to limit participation per occasion in RALLLY. This feature is available in Doodle.

Is a booking page a feature you are thinking of adding to Rallly? I'm currently using another platform for that, but it would be nice to be able to do that on Rallly instead.

Yes, for sure. I do plan on adding support for creating booking pages as well but I don't have an ETA for it.

I don't want there to be limits. There are meetings with many participants. It is necessary to express all available schedules of all participants.

This is what I need too! That's what I was talking about when I said one person/appointment per slot

Hi Thomas. This behavior will be part of a feature called Registration pages. These are different then meeting polls since their purpose is not to find the most popular time but rather to allow participants to book a time slot. I'll merge this with the existing feature request.

Hi, this is not supported at the moment but it will be in the future through a feature called Registration pages. I'll merge this with the existing feature request.
