I’ve been kinda doing this recurring or rather never ending poll for the past 10 years with a script. First on doodle and now switched to rallly. It just adds new options each day and prunes outdated ones. The major feature why I do it like this though is that votes are kept. So I can just send participants a weekly reminder to update their votes and they only need to update like 2 dates instead of all options.

In my case it allows us to have dates for the next 2 months and see when we can get together with our friend group. Without people having to redo votes constantly.

I'd like this to be a built-in feature of rallly!

I would use this feature all of the time.

I think the real solution here is to support recurring meeting rather than hiding past dates. Users seem to want one page where participants can visit to vote on the next meeting. I'll merge this with the existing issue.

I'll be releasing the ability to duplicate polls this week, however when duplicating a poll it also duplicates the same date options so I'm not sure if this will work for you.

I think what you are looking for is the ability to support recurring meetings. I do plan on supporting this but due to the amount of work that is required it will take some time to deliver.

In the meantime if anyone can point to examples of how this has been executed in other tools that would be very helpful.

Gotcha, good to know! I remember I used to duplicate my polls on Doodle, but it's been so long since I switched to your platform, I don't remember how the dates carried over/didn't on their platform. I moved here because Doodle removed their comments section on group polls, and the comments section is invaluable to me as I use these polls to make a weekly schedule, where staff members availabilities change from week to week - so sometimes they need to be able to write notes on their preferences and such. I'm happy to give your release of the Duplicate option a try!

It sounds like recurring meetings could be useful for my purposes as well, whatever would allow me to carry over a times template of sorts from week to week, with Mondays always having the same three time blocks, Tuesdays have their same three, and so forth. I wouldn't mind having to update individual dates to the new week's dates, the main thing I'd love to avoid is having to reselect the specific time windows for each day every week.

If you have any questions for me let me know, and thank you!

Sometimes when planning a meeting, a notice period is required. The ability to set a future expiry date for options would also be helpful. eg: a date less than 21 days in the future is no longer eligible to be selected.

Ok to have as an option.

But sometimes it is also nice to see who have (not) been able to attend/contribute previous dates when making new schedules

The option would be nice to have; for our purposes no must have though.

Thanks for the feedback. I believe this will covered by supporting recurring meetings so I'll merge this with that feature request.
