I schedule meetings of varying time lengths (usually 30 min, 1 hour, or 1.5 hours). If I was able to customize the length of my meeting slots, I would use this right away.
Thanks for raising. I've been thinking about this and I believe it makes sense to move to a structure where the meeting length is specified during poll creation. The same meeting length is applied to all date options. This will make it trivial to change the meeting length later on.
The downside is that it removes some flexibility and this might eliminate some existing use cases so it would be great to hear what others think about this.

Yes, I also agree that the meeting length should be specified during poll creation. However, Rallly doesn't give this option; it only allows you to have 1 hr slots.

I use it often for things with different lengths. E.g. just now I have a poll that has three different times each day for the three different 'events' that are planned there.
What would speak against having an option to set a default for when selecting a time?
I'm also not sure that I understand the issue. Currently, when selecting a time for the first time, the time span is then used for all future time slots added by default. Combined with the "apply to all other days" you can pretty quickly create a lot of options of a certain length.

The benefit of having duration specified separately is that it allows you to change the duration afterwards without need to change the list of options. If you did that now, all votes would be reset because all options would need to be replaced to change the duration.
Can you give a bit more context on why your poll/event has different durations?

If that would reset all of the votes, why not make a new poll? If the 'duplicate' function is implemented, you can just duplicate a poll, change the times on one day and press "apply to all other days".
Imo that's way less confusing than a poll changing and removing my votes.
As to my use case: Just now I have a event that consists of three different parts: a kind of escape room, dinner and then an open ended party afterwards.
For each of these I need to have at least an approximate info on how many will join in all of these activities so I can reserve the appropriate amount of slots. And some people might not want to/aren't able to join for all three on every possible date. I even have people that would join for the escape room on one day, but cannot do so on other dates.
I did this by having three time slots per day, which works pretty well. If all time slots would be the same length, then I'd have to essentially write the actual times in the message to the participants and tell them to ignore the ones on the poll, which is not very intuitive :/
I understand that that's probably the outlier more than the norm, but you asked about use cases, so I figured I'd add mine ^^
