Poll voting bug

Feedback

I would like a change to the vote system.

I use polls for my DnD Session, to see when everyone has time to play.

The issue is that when someone wants to update their entry (they have a account and are always logged in) they cant change it at all. They always need to re-enter the poll with another entry and its tiresome for them, to continously re-enter their times and schedules.

Please do something about it.

Also, when they open the invite link theres no option to log in. They always need to open the Rally main website to log in and then proceed back to the poll.

I have this same problem with all of my polls. Invitees cannot see the three little dots to edit their voted for future dates. So have to register again., then their name appears twice on list of participants and I have to remove one of them. I need to be able to continuously add dates , but the participants are always the same.. So they should be able to to use the first invite link for months on end, to just go to the site and sign up for the events they want to attend.

I asked for something similar to this in the past. But it was pointed out to me that if they copy the link in the welcome email, then they will always be able to get back in using their original profile. My users all do this now and it works fine. Doing things this way avoids this change being required.

Hi thanks for the feedback, I'll work on including a login link from the invite page very soon.

The issue is that when someone wants to update their entry (they have a account and are always logged in) they cant change it at all. They always need to re-enter the poll with another entry and its tiresome for them, to continously re-enter their times and schedules.

I'm not able to reproduce this. Perhaps the entry was created when the user wasn't logged in? To help with this we could carry over participant entries when going from a guest session to a logged in user.

Maybe open a poll and enter the link in a incognito tab? Try to change an entry afterwards.

Or perhaps open a poll, enter an entry and then open the poll again through an invite link - you should still be logged in and try to change your entry.

If you open a poll in incognito mode you will be seen as a guest and your entry won't be tied to an account so that works as expected.

Or perhaps open a poll, enter an entry and then open the poll again through an invite link - you should still be logged in and try to change your entry.

When I do this, I can still edit my entry as expected. Let me know if there's anything I'm missing.

I would like to keep you updated on this matter, as my friends and players keep me updated on this matter occasionally :)

          Thanks for the quick replies!
